- Find the length of one wooden plank.
- Find the length of 12 such planks in centimetres.
Need a hint?
First find the length of one plank by dividing. Then multiply by 12. Remember to change metres to centimetres at the end by multiplying by 100.
Worked answer
- (a) Length of 1 plank = 10.4 ÷ 8 = 1.3 m.
- (b) Length of 12 planks = 1.3 × 12 = 15.6 m.
- (b) In centimetres: 15.6 × 100 = 1560 cm.
