Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Knowbotic! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Knowbotic's website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by knowbotic.app ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

Eligibility

To use Knowbotic, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
• Provide accurate and complete registration information

Users under 18 should use the Service under parental or guardian supervision.

Account Registration

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account using one of our supported authentication providers (Google, Facebook, or Apple). You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

Use of Service

Permitted Use

You may use Knowbotic for:

• Personal learning and educational purposes
• Generating AI-powered questions and quizzes
• Managing your knowledge base and study materials
• Tracking your learning progress
• Accessing educational content and features

Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Share or sell your account access
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or alter any copyright notices or branding

Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Knowbotic ("User Content"), including documents, notes, and study materials. By uploading User Content, you grant us:

• A worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content
• The right to create AI embeddings and representations of your content
• The right to use your content to provide and improve our Service

This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except for:

• Backup copies (deleted within 90 days)
• Anonymized data used for analytics

Our Content

All content provided by Knowbotic, including but not limited to:

• Platform design, layout, and user interface
• AI-generated questions and quizzes
• Software, code, and algorithms
• Logos, trademarks, and branding
• Educational content and materials

is owned by knowbotic.app and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our content without express written permission.

Copyright Infringement

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your work has been infringed, contact us at hi@knowbotic.app with:

• Identification of the copyrighted work
• Location of the infringing material
• Your contact information
• A statement of good faith belief
• Your signature (electronic or physical)

AI-Generated Content

Knowbotic uses artificial intelligence to generate questions, quizzes, and embeddings. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not always be accurate or complete
• You should verify important information independently
• We do not guarantee the quality or correctness of AI outputs
• AI processing is performed by third-party services (OpenAI)
• Your content may be processed to generate embeddings and semantic representations

Use AI-generated content at your own risk and discretion, especially for critical academic or professional purposes.

Subscription & Payments

Free & Paid Plans

Knowbotic may offer both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
• Provide accurate billing information
• Authorize automatic recurring charges (for subscription plans)
• Comply with payment provider terms

Billing & Renewals

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• You will be charged at the start of each billing period
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial months or unused features
• Refund requests evaluated on a case-by-case basis

Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using Knowbotic, you consent to:

• Collection and processing of your personal data
• Storage of your content in cloud services (AWS S3, Qdrant)
• AI processing of your uploaded documents
• Use of cookies for authentication and functionality

Disclaimers & Limitations

Service "As Is"

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of intellectual property
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security or freedom from viruses

Educational Purpose

Knowbotic is designed as a learning aid. We do not guarantee:

• Academic success or improved performance
• Acceptance of our content by educational institutions
• Accuracy of AI-generated questions or answers
• Suitability for any specific exam or curriculum

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, knowbotic.app shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or errors
• User-generated content or third-party actions
• Damages exceeding the amount you paid in the past 12 months

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless knowbotic.app from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Violation of these Terms
• Infringement of any rights of others
• Your User Content

Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting us. See our Data Deletion page for complete account deletion.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Abuse the Service or harm other users
• Fail to pay required fees

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and User Content
• You remain liable for any outstanding fees
• Provisions that should survive termination will continue to apply

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Sending an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and close your account.

Governing Law & Disputes

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service:

• First, contact us at hi@knowbotic.app to resolve informally
• If unresolved after 30 days, disputes shall be settled by arbitration in Singapore
• The arbitration shall be conducted under the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) rules
• The arbitral award shall be final and binding

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions.

Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and knowbotic.app regarding the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (OAuth providers, cloud services, AI providers). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
