Count in three parts: until 10.00 a.m., until 1.00 p.m., and then until the arrival time.
Worked answer
- From 9.40 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. is 20 min.
- From 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. is 3 h.
- From 1.00 p.m. to 1.25 p.m. is 25 min.
- Combine the parts: 3 h + 20 min + 25 min = 3 h 45 min.
